I own a few home videos with a mix of memories. It's a bit tough for me to watch as of course, sometimes your younger self is cringe worthy but also it reminds me of good and bad times that feel lost to time. Sometimes I dream of being transported back in time and there's such a rush of panic, terror, and nostalgia that washes over me. The one home video is sitting in the vcr frozen after an avalanche of emotions in my last viewing.
The new York Public Library posted open source images on unsplash. Including the one of the elderly woman below, her photo was taken in 1931! What a different era she lived in.
