Clumsy mind

Writer's picture: Harlow SnowHarlow Snow

I have over 900 pieces of art I've done in the last few months. Some are in need of some retuning to but I think it's best not to stiffle expression even if you look at it now and pick it apart. My technique I'm constantly trying to approve and also scrutinizing but I also find thoughts to be so fleeting that it's important not to be too hard on yourself for maybe not executing it the greatest?

I try to push myself and try to not overdo it. I tend to be too harsh on myself if I analyze my creativity for too long but where is the balance? Balance has always been a struggle for my clumsy mind and habits.

Anyway, from reading about famous artists you see that practice is what all skills take. Passion, determination, learning, and expanding. Self doubt is in all of us. Reading about past visionaries and achievers makes me see their humanity and how we all are learning all the time.

On a different note, I'm in a lot of pain right now so I'm sorry if this is rambly. Pain does not leave much room in your mind for precision.
